Support Local- Good Crowd
If you've never visited Good Crowd in College Park you are truly missing out. Sarah, the shops owner is an absolute treasure of a human and you can feel her love and passion in all aspects of her business. Not only is this woman a mother and a hardcore lady boss but she does circus acrobatics FOR FUN! I truly envy everything about her and it hurts me so deeply to see local small business' like hers fear what the future may hold during this unexpected and crazy time.
Good Crowd has been a longtime supporter of myself and Friendlily Press. Fun fact, her shop even carries the largest selection of Friendlily products in the entire state. She is constantly a motivation to do more, press our creativity, and a great person to just bounce ideas with. And don't get me started on how ADORABLE her shop is. I've always had a dream of owning our own shop and Sarah is living my visions.
Right now if you're in Orlando you can follow along with Good Crowd @GoodCrowdShop on Instagram and keep an eye on their stories for available products available for purchase. You can also check back at their story highlights "virtual shop" in case you missed anything!
In an effort to keep the community safe she is taking orders via Instagram and digitally invoicing. Good Crowd is also offering curbside/instore pickup, free local delivery, and $5 flat rate shipping based on your preference. Also, check out their gift card special running through Saturday, March 21st where when you buy a $50 gift card you get a $10 bonus card or a $5 when you purchase a $25 card (electronic gift cards also available).
I personally took advantage of this today by picking up some goodies for Calloway. The activity roll ($12) is 6ft of robot related fun. It comes with 5 colored pencils and includes mazes, search and find, spot the difference, connect the dots, tic-tac-toe, drawing, coloring, and more! I also picked up this 3D colorable race car ($8.50) where he can color two different vehicles and inflate them before attaching axels and wheels. And lastly, the book "You, Me, We!" ($20) which is a book for parents and kids to fill out together to encourage bonding and record memories. This one Calloway is a bit too young for right now but I just know as soon as I want it I won't be able to get it!
Local businesses are what make a community great and while finances are tight for everyone I always encourage people to do what they can. Share a post, write a positive review, buy a gift card for future use, etc.
